WHOSE WORK MATTERS TO GOD
(or anyone else!)?
An interactive seminar sponsored by Richmond Emmanuel Church, Vancouver Chinese Christian Short Term Mission Training Centre and the Institute for Marketplace Transformation
Work occupies a large chunk of our time. Many people think that it is nothing compared with full-time ministry in the church or voluntary work in a parachurch organization. But in reality work is part of our service to God and neighbour, is pleasing to God who created us to work, and is a major arena of spiritual formation. This is true even in less-than-ideal work situations.
This seminar will explore what the Bible has to say about work, what work means in both Chinese and Christian cultures and how to turn work into a ministry.
